These results were first posted (with ongoing changes) on the OBC site circa 21:30 on 2009-Apr-13 and are available here for your added pleasure and analysis.

Considerably better conditions than last year's cold and windy Good Friday drew out a good crowd of 100 or so today and there were some excellent performances. The fastest two men surpassed the previous best OBC Good Friday times, and in fact Warren MacDonald broke the 45km/h mark by a long shot. If he improves this year as much as he did last year, we may see Warren break the 50km/h barrier. The women also rode well, with Dianne Marleau currently ranking 4th in the Good Friday women's results. Dianne was just 1 minute and nine seconds slower than her best from last year, and if she posts the kind of improvements that most people tend to do from an April Good Friday to their season best (see this graph, for example), she may find herself in the 22's this year. It was nice to see a full range of ages out as well - from Peewee Hugh Xie to Geofrey Wright, out on his 81st birthday. Happy Birthday Geoffrey!
